Wicca is pretty much a progressive spirituality.

So much has changed since Gerald Gardner first came out of the broom closet with a modern form of witchcraft. 

Back then witchcraft was very much associated with the Christian/Islamic Satan and people believed that the practice of magic was evil and ungodly.

Even though Wicca is now recognised in most western countries as a religion and Wiccans have the same rights as practitioners of other religions, there are still people propagating these old myths.
