How To Find Your Totem Animal

When starting on the witchcraft path many people are eager to discover their totem animal or power animal. Many cultures have a history of working this way so it makes sense that modern witches want to get back to these roots.

Your totem animal has been with you since the day you were born and most likely through past lives as well. It’s an animal that you share characteristics with and it will teach you how to express more of who you are in the world.

You also have an animal that will teach you about your shadow nature. Coined the shadow by Carl Yung, this dark aspect is that part of yourself that you don't want to own. You generally don't want to own it because it contains characteristics that are deemed to be socially and spiritually unacceptable.
