What is the Role of the Ego When Doing Shadow Work
In the spiritual community, the ego is often vilified and seen as a destructive force which must be overcome, denied and even annihilated altogether.
However, modern energy psychology understands the role of the ego as being a loyal protector. This means it has a very important role in keeping you safe. For example, it will protect you from doing really dangerous things like walking in front of a moving bus.
The problem is that without regular updating, the ego can get stuck in old patterns of thinking and believing which can sabotage your relationships, dreams, health and success in life.
The ego's role is to support your higher self. The higher self is supposed to be in charge. However, for most of us, that's not how we rock. Much of the time our ego is running the show which gets us into a lot of trouble.
In this video, I share with you how it all works and what you can do to help your ego support your higher spiritual self so you can experience more connection, joy and confidence.
