Why is Magick Forbidden?

Magick has been forbidden in many places around the world at various times. This has been the result largely of controlling religions and/or political ideologies.

Outside of a few religions and political ideologies, there really is no reason why magic would be wrong. How could it be? It's a natural part of life. We create magickally all the time. It's natural.

As Witches, we know that magick is a natural part of life and that we have every right to practice it. 

So why is it so forbidden by others?
