You Are Allowed to Be a Witch
There Is Nothing Wrong With You
There is a quiet loneliness that comes from hiding something that feels like your soul’s truth.
Maybe you minimise your interest in witchcraft when others are around.
Maybe your tools are tucked away, hidden from view.
Maybe you haven’t even said the word witch out loud — not fully, not without hesitation.
If this feels familiar, you’re not alone.
And more importantly — you’re not broken.
What you’re feeling is something many people experience when they begin to walk a spiritual path. It’s not a lack of confidence.
It’s something deeper.
What Is the Witch Wound?
The witch wound is the fear, shame, or discomfort that arises when you begin to explore witchcraft, spirituality, or intuitive practices.
It often shows up as:
- Fear of being judged or rejected
- Feeling unsafe being seen as spiritual or “different”
- Doubting your right to practise
- Hiding your beliefs from others
This doesn’t come from nowhere.
For generations, spiritual practitioners — especially those associated with witchcraft — were misunderstood, silenced, or punished. Over time, those fears became internalised.
They now live in the body and nervous system as a protective response.
A quiet voice that says:
“It’s not safe to be this.”
Why Mindset Alone Doesn’t Work
You can’t simply think your way out of the witch wound.
Because it isn’t just a belief — it’s a felt experience in the body.
That’s why this work becomes powerful when you combine:
- Witchcraft practices (ritual, intention, symbolism)
- Nervous system work like EFT tapping
This allows you to:
- Release the old belief safely
- Replace it with a new, grounded truth
- Create a sense of internal safety
A Simple Ritual to Release the Fear of Being a Witch
This practice blends energy work and emotional healing to help you gently shift the belief that it isn’t safe to be who you are.
Step 1: Bring Your Fear Into Awareness
Start by journaling.
Write down everything that feels unsafe about being a witch:
- What are you afraid might happen?
- Who are you afraid will judge you?
- What were you taught about witchcraft growing up?
Don’t filter your answers.
Clarity is the first step toward transformation.
Step 2: Ground and Create Safety
Before doing any ritual, ground your body.
Feel your connection to the earth.
Slow your breathing.
Imagine roots extending down into the ground.
Then visualise a warm, protective light surrounding your body.
This creates a sense of safety — which is essential for real change.
Step 3: Candle Ritual for Releasing Fear
You’ll need:
- A black candle
- A piece of paper
- A pen
- A heatproof bowl
Write this belief on your paper:
“It’s not safe to be a witch.”
Sit with it for a moment.
Notice how it feels in your body.
Step 4: Use EFT Tapping to Release the Belief
Tap gently on the side of your hand.
As you tap, say:
I release all contracts, agreements, vows, and beliefs — made by me or on my behalf — that have me believing it’s not safe to be a witch.
I release this from my ancestors, my bloodline, my DNA, my past and present.
By my true will, so it is.
Then shift to:
What if I can be a witch and be safe at the same time?
What if I am allowed to be a witch?
Repeat each three times, then take a deep breath.
Step 5: Burn and Release
Fold the paper away from you and safely burn it in your bowl.
As the smoke rises, allow the belief to leave with it.
The tapping has already begun the transformation — this step seals it.
You Are Allowed to Be a Witch
This path doesn’t require you to be visible or outspoken.
For some, it’s not safe to share openly — and that matters.
But this work is about something deeper than visibility.
It’s about self-permission.
It’s about coming home to yourself and allowing your truth to exist — even if no one else sees it yet.
That is where real power begins.
A Personal Note
I’ve been walking this path for over 35 years, and I’ve seen this again and again.
People arrive quietly. Carefully. Unsure if they’re “allowed” to be here.
And over time, something shifts.
They stop asking for permission.
They begin to trust themselves.
They build a practice that feels real and grounded.
This is the healing of the witch wound.
And it is one of the most powerful transformations you can experience.
Magick is real, and you have the power to use it.
